IPVanish Review

The Bottom Line
Let’s be absolutely clear here: IPVanish deserves to rank among the very best VPNs. It continues to improve year-on-year with faster download speeds, an ever-growing server network, and an increased commitment to privacy. While we have few criticisms, its limited device compatibility isn’t great and its apps need some fine-tuning for a smoother user experience.

Cons
No traditional VPN browser extensions

Struggles with foreign-language streaming services
Desktop apps not as compact as we’d like
e’re always surprised by how low IPVanish ranks on other VPN review sites. We suspect that reviewers have overlooked the continual upgrades the VPN has made lately, which have established it as a top-tier VPN.
What’s really flown under the radar is its massive improvement in unblocking geo-restricted content. Before, it wasn’t even in the conversation, but now, it’s a reliable go-to for services like Netflix and BBC iPlayer.
But the biggest change is undoubtedly its connection speeds. Only Hotspot Shield records faster times, putting IPVanish’s download speed ahead of big-name rivals like ExpressVPN and Surfshark.
While not a recent change, it’s important to mention that IPVanish remains our undisputed best VPN for Fire TV Stick. We loved using its app and were impressed by its elite performance on a usually underserved platform.
Despite this, IPVanish’s device compatibility remains underwhelming compared to its competitors: its lack of a Smart DNS Proxy means you can’t easily use it on game consoles or Smart TVs.
On a minor note, while it’s possible to hide it, we found its waveform chart on desktop a little too distracting for our taste. A simpler, more minimalist approach would greatly improve the look and user experience.
